Boeing handed over the ceremonial key of the first 787-10 to Singapore Airlines
Today, the Boeing officially handed over the ceremonial key of the first 787-10 to Singapore Airlines Chief Executive Goh Choon Phong on the tarmac in front Boeing’s 787 plant. More than thousand Boeing workers and guest witnessed the ceremonial event at Boeing’s South Carolina plant.
The Singapore Airlines has 49 Boeing 787-10 on order with a price tag of $326 million a unit at list prices.
The 787-10 is the largest member of Boeing’s 787 family, fully built exclusively at the North Charleston plant. The 223 feet long, the aircraft seats 337 passengers, is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 TEN engines has a range of 6,430 nautical miles (11,910 km).
The airline scheduled to introduce the first flight on services to Osaka, Japan, and Perth, Australia, starting in May.
