fiat ducato base camper van is built for escaping the city
in 2006 fiat launched the first motorhome base designed in partnership with leading european manufacturers in the camping sector. the technical base of the italian-automaker’s ‘ducato’ is optimized and made fit for purpose according to campervan craftsmen’s expertise, in order to respond to the evolution of outdoorsman’s growing needs.

the fiat ‘ducato’ camper van’s base range is the widest in the segment with five wheelbases, six different chassis lengths, and four engines. in total, by combining bodies, capacities and engines, 600 specific motorhome versions can be achieved. another focus of the motorhome is increased comfort at the wheel and on board. the model’s traditional strengths — ‘automotive’ style driving, high visibility, and a comfortable driving position.
the fiat ‘ducato’ camper van sports a two-tone paint finish and comes outfitted with an LED light bar, a front winch, and a lot of capacity for carrying cargo on the roof. it also features two spare tires, and a traction mat on the roof, plus a rack that’s reinforced with a rooftop walking platform.
while the fiat has a rugged exterior, its interior offers a more tranquil space for relaxation and comes equipped with a neutral-color cabin, two retractable flat-screen televisions, a convection hob for cooking, a sink, a furniture-integrated lighting system, and after along day exploring campers can retire to their kingsize bed. the ‘ducato’ camper van is driven by fiat’s familiar 150 hp 2.3 liter ‘multijet ii’ engine .
